Habitat explores how the spaces we inhabit shape us as much as we shape them. The series emerged during the pandemic, a moment of uncertainty, reflecting the need to create grounding, vital places even in challenging times. Through organic rhythms and hand‑built forms, the pieces evoke small territories that suggest movement, openness, and renewal. Habitat invites a pause—a quiet experience of presence within continuous change. In 2024 I returned to the Habitat series and felt the need to expand the language of the Habitat series by incorporating color. The presence of acrylic and patina opened a register that accentuates gestures, rhythms, and tensions that had previously relied solely on form and material.
