About

Bio

I am a visual artist whose identity and sculptural practice are deeply shaped by an itinerant and interdisciplinary path. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and have studied, lived, and worked in Europe, South America, and North America. Although I have been based in Canada for almost twenty‑five years, I currently develop my artistic production and professional work between Ottawa, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City.

For nearly a decade, ceramic sculpture has been at the core of my artistic and professional practice, integrating my background in Philosophy, Language Education, and Creative Therapy into an exploration centered on materiality and its expressive potential.

Over the years, some of my works have been included in group exhibitions and have found a place in private collections in Argentina, Canada, the United States, Mexico, and Europe.

Artist Statement

I work mainly with hand-built ceramics, and my practice is grounded in an intuitive and tactile dialogue with clay. I am drawn to its malleability and its capacity to register gesture, pressure, and doubt. When I begin a piece, I seek to quiet rational filters to allow the material to take the lead, letting form, rhythm, and texture emerge through touch and an attentive presence.

This openness is central to my process. I follow what the clay suggests rather than imposing a predetermined design, embracing the tension between intention and chance. Gravity, plasticity, and the unpredictable behavior of the material shape each work as it develops, guiding it toward its own internal logic.

When forms appear, I pause to contemplate them with wonder and consider how to bring them to completion without losing their essence. The surface becomes a space for subtle decisions: sometimes I reveal the raw clay, and at other times I deepen its expressive qualities through glazes, oxides, patinas, acrylic paint, terra sigillata, or wax.

My sculptures naturally evolve into series —Seeds, Habitats, Circles, Ensembles, Shadows, and Identities— which explore transformation, rhythm, and the interaction between interiority and its environment. At the core of these bodies of work lies the certainty that clay allows me to open up spaces that materialize my internal content.
